Established in 1998 as a spin off of the Route
23 Corridor Project, the Elliott County Heritage Arts Council
was formed with help from The Kentucky Arts Council to assist
our local artisans, get arts into the schools, and build a community
sense of the importance of the arts. Due to the generosity of
one of our members, Gladys Wheeler, we restored and moved into
our new home, The Isonville Community Arts center. As a group
we host many events designed to promote the arts and artists of
our area. Among the events we host or help with are: classes in
various arts related topics, annual open house and artist appreciation
days and the annual arts and crafts festival.
