Tammy Dean Crafts

The Picture of Tammy Dean and Dolls

Artisan Tammy Dean is a self-taught doll-maker from a rural community in Lincoln County, Kentucky. Her muslin dolls reflect a simple and traditional country style. She has discovered through her doll-making that dolls, though inanimate, can give comfort, love and companionship to those of all ages.

Tammy's dolls are handmade with hand-painted features, unique rag hair, and are dressed in homespun fabric. Because they are handmade, you have the opportunity to own a one of a kind creation. Look for Tammy's unique line of "Country Raggedy's" and the "Tammy Dean Collection" of doll ornaments. Tammy's work can be seen at Kentucky Appalachian Artisan Center in Hindman and Little Rock Cotttage in London.

Classes on doll-making are also available. Please call to schedule your group or individual classes.
